Radial Outflow Turbine Design Online Workshop
This course dives into details on the process of radial-outflow turbine design using the AxSTREAM platform from preliminary design to meanline calculation, performance map, blade profiling and finally 3D analysis (CFD ) while also covering how to reverse engineer such geometry. All registrants will receive a trial software license of AxSTREAM EDU to supplement the subject matter.
This workshop will guide attendees through the full design, analysis and optimization of radial-outflow turbines. The program will being with a brief theoretical overview of radial-outflow turbines and introduction to the AxSTREAM® software platform before diving into practical examples with the software, teaching attendees about the process to design a radial outflow turbine from a clean sheet for a given specification. Topics and modules covered during this training session include custom fluid creation using Fluid Designer, radial outflow turbine preliminary design, meanline/streamline analysis, profiling and 3D blade design, and AxCFD™ for performing 3D CFD analysis. In addition, this training also teaches attendees how to import an existing design into AxSTREAM® for analyzing its performance.
